The British Telecom giants after cementing their place in the digital TV field are now about to spread about their arms and ad variety to their digital TV service. The latest additional to their digital TV service is the Video on Demand of bollywood and south Asian movies and music. BT has struck a five year deal for this service. The targeted audience for this service will be the south Asian communities in the UK.
This service is expected to be available to the customers by late September and will be charges at £6.85 per month. The Bollywood VOD service will be managed by digital distributor MoMedia and content provider Shemaroo Entertainment, which will present the customers with the latest library of bollywood and south Asian movies and music.
The Chief executive of BT vision Marc Watson is delighted to strike this deal with the south Asian giants to provide this service on BT vision. This step will add a huge viewing variety to the bollywood fans as it will allows them to choose what they want to watch and when. This step will add to the existing biggest on-demand service provided by BT with its kids, sports, films, etc.
From the other end the director of shemaroo entertainment Mr. Jai Maroo is also extremely excited to join hands with the UK giants for providing this service and is also extremely delighted to work exclusively with BT. He also added that shemaroo is the largest content provider in the south asian and has tie ups with all the major content producers in India.
He also added that they are proud to provide this unique entertainment package to the south Asian communities residing in the UK and has promised innovation with the change in time.
The VOD services providers are also glad to be linked with BT is this major deal and have assured a more enhanced platform for the service provided to BT.
