Sky TV have announced that they are going to be able to install their new feature, Sky Q, without the need to have a satellite dish, something that is completely new to the world of television. This service is expected to come to the UK in 2018 and will mean people who currently are unable to install a satellite dish will be able to access Sky TV through broadband.
Sky Q has gone down really well since its recent introduction and with over 1 million boxes already installed in over 600,000 homes, more than 10% of TV is being watched amongst these people due to the much better sight and sound provided by Sky Q. It’s a feature that is definitely going to get better as well with the introduction of voice search, clearer sound and picture and the chance to record six shows as well as watching a seventh live.
Along with this new Sky Q installation process, Sky are also looking to improve the ‘My Sky’ mobile app where users will gain a much faster and easier experience. They will be able to check the broadband speed they are getting, review their monthly bill as well as change how and when they pay their bill.
To go with the brilliant new Sky Q, Sky TV are also getting more of the best shows this year. A new drama will be released every month across several channels, whether it’s an American drama on Sky Atlantic or a British show on Sky 1. And with Sky Q, Sky have also brought a new feature, Sky Cinema, where there are over 1,000 movies ready to be watched. Along with thse, there is a new premieri available every day so you’ll never be bored. They’ll be available 12 months before other TV subscription sites, keeping you in the loop before everyone else.
